From boating or fishing on either of our two lakes, spending time with the family at our pools or beaches, or participating in the fun activities at the Lodge and Island, everyone will enjoy their time here. RECREATION AMENITIES

ALCA has various community amenities that are available for use for all seasons. Arrowhead Lake and North Arrowhead Lake take center stage for outdoor recreation and can be used for boating, fishing and swimming. 

Membership ID Card or QR Code required when using any ALCA facility, amenity and attending events. 

No glass containers allowed at any recreation facility! Some amenities are available only from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Welcome Center Lower Level – “Family Game Room”- Located at 961 Arrowhead Drive – For all ages. Air hockey, pool tables, ping pong, board games, television and vending machines, kitchen area, study and lounge areas. Open 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.

Sports Facilities – Outdoor basketball, sand volleyball, and tennis/pickleball courts. All courts close at 10 p.m.      Horseshoe, bocce ball and shuffleboard are also available.

Boat Launches & Docks – Available at all beaches and Island Complex. All state fishing and boating regulations must be followed. Gasoline-powered boats prohibited.

Playgrounds – Located at all beaches, Island, Choctaw & Minisink Pools, and 108 Ramapo Drive

Beaches – ALCA has 4 sand beaches including roped off swimming areas for swim at-your-own-risk. Inflatable rafts, noodles and water toys are not allowed in swimming areas. Proper swimming attire is required. All beaches have ADA-compliant restrooms, picnic tables, charcoal barbeque stands and playgrounds.

Recreation Equipment Rental – “Rental Shack” – Located at 132 Island Pool Drive – Located at the Island Complex. Paddle boards, kayaks, canoes and other recreational equipment like bocce balls, horseshoes, and tennis rackets can be rented during open season.

ALCA POOLS

ALCA operates 3 outdoor heated pools that are open seasonally, weather dependent. 

Membership ID Card or QR Code required. Proper swim attire is required. 

Glass containers are prohibited!

Choctaw Pool – 120 Choctaw Dr. – Located on the corner of Choctaw & Wyomissing Drive. Features racing/lap swim lanes and a children’s pool.

Minisink Pool – 72 Minisink Dr. – Located on the corner of Minisink & Moshannon Drive. Features a diving board, children’s pool and handicap pool lift. 

Island Pool – 132 Island Pool Dr. – Located off Trout Creek Drive. This is a zero-entry (handicap accessible) pool with an aquatic wheelchair available for use. Shaped like an arrow, the Island Pool features a children’s wading pool and fountain. Boat rentals and other recreation equipment is available at the Rental Shack. 

FISHING AT THE LAKES

Arrowhead Lake and North Arrowhead Lake contain numerous fish species including bass, crappie, sunfish, perch, trout, walleye and pickerel. Anglers 16 years and older must have a Pennsylvania fishing license. All PA Fish & Boat Commission regulations must be followed. 

THE LODGE

The Lodge, located at 169 Lodge Place, is a hub of activity and gathering place all year long! For a list of activities, visit www.arrowheadlakepa.net/events.

Fitness Center – equipped with free weights, cardio, row and press machines. Open 5 a.m. – 10 p.m. daily.

Library – A wide variety of book selections for reading while at the Lodge or for take-home. DVDs and board games available, too!

Adult Billiards Room – For adults 18+, 3 pool tables and TVs

TRASH & RECYCLING CENTER

The Trash & Recycling Center is located behind the Welcome Center at the Main Gate.  There is no curbside pick-up. Household garbage and recycling is to be separated and disposed of ONLY at the Trash & Recycling Center. Gate card is needed for entry at the Main Gate.

Open Daily – 8 a.m. – 10 p.m.   |    Staffed – 8 a.m. – 2 p.m., 2:30 p.m. – 6 p.m. (Hours are subject to change during holidays/inclement weather.)

Please Note: Disposing of trash at any other location including community trash cans or in private dumpsters is prohibited!

ALCA RULES AND REGULATIONS

Noise – Disturbing the peace is prohibited. Quiet hours start Sunday – Thursday at 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
Speed Limit – The speed limit in the community is 15 mph unless otherwise posted. All recreational vehicles such as golf carts need to be registered. 
Dogs – All animals must be leashed and waste must be picked up. No animals are permitted in any community recreation area including beaches, playgrounds and pool areas. 
Fireworks – Prohibited within ALCA. Zero tolerance- $500 fine. Ground or hand-held sparklers are allowed.
Membership Identification – Anyone age 6 & up must wear membership identification when using any ALCA facility, amenity and attending events.
Outdoor Fires – Permitted only in a barbecue grill or an elevated, outdoor fireplace/pit with a protective screen.
Parking – All vehicles must be parked in designated areas only. Parking is not permitted after 11 p.m. at any facility.
Smoking – Permitted in designated areas only. Not permitted within 20 feet of an entrance or inside any facility. This includes e-cigarettes and vaping devices.
Glass Containers – Prohibited at most ALCA facilities including beaches, pools, playgrounds and sports facilities.

Failure to comply with these rules may result in fines.
