Community Snow Removal Procedure
DPW is notified by DPS when road conditions deteriorate. They will make an assessment and call in the appropriate team members to address the problem. If the forecast calls for light amounts, DPW will salt/cinder the roads. If the forecast calls for a prolonged snow event, they will start plowing the roads once a few inches accumulates and continue to plow, salt/cinder until the storm subsides and all roads have been cleared of snow. Larger storms will require DPW to push snow further back on the side of the roads and may also require us to move snow out from the corners of intersections so that traffic is visible. For more information on the Snow Policy listed under Governing Documents, log-in to visit MyALCA.
