This Self-defense class will teach awareness, assertiveness, verbal confrontation skills, safety strategies, and physical techniques that enable someone to successfully escape, resist, and survive violent attacks.
The class will cover simple and effective techniques that can be used in various situations. It will cover defense from common grabs and holds, effective striking techniques, standing and prone (ground) defense should be knocked to the ground.
We will also cover a wide variety of discussion topics such as being a good witness, the legal ramifications of defending yourself, should I arm myself, using OC (Pepper Spray) and other items.
The class focus is on maximizing the techniques for your individual capabilities. It will feature a continual review of the techniques each week, so if you miss a session you will not miss any material presented.
