PA Mentored Youth Trout Day

March 30th is also Pennsylvania Mentored Youth Trout Day from 8am until 7:30 pm. On this day youth under 16 can trout fish. All youth anglers need a free Mentored Youth Permit OR a Voluntary Youth Fishing License ($2.97) from the PA Fish & Boat Commission (obtained from http://www.huntfish.pa.gov). The free permit can only be obtained by creating an account for the youth on the website. The youth must be accompanied by a licensed adult angler to participate. With their License OR Permit, they can take a total of two trout (combined species) with a minimum length of 7 inches. Adult youth mentors are permitted to fish, but they need to follow the regulations put forth by the PA Fish and Boat Commission. Please make sure you are familiar with these regulations.
