Trash & Recycling Center
The Trash & Recycling Center is located behind the Welcome Center through the Main Gate. All trash and recycling items must be brought to the community Trash & Recycling Center. Disposing of trash at any other location, including in other community trash cans, is prohibited. There is no curbside pickup. Trash is considered ONLY household garbage, food scraps, etc. Recycling includes glass bottles and jars, plastic bottles and containers, aluminum and steel/tin cans, cardboard and paperboard, and newspaper, magazines and paper. Hours: Daily from 8am to 10pm; Staffed from 8am to 2pm and 2:30pm to 6pm.
Bulk Trash Appointments
Please fill out the online request form HERE (preferred method) or you can call (570) 643-9325 to leave a voicemail with: 1). Your contact information (full name, phone number, ALCA street address, and email); 2). The item you wish to dispose of; and 3). Preferred date/time of drop off along with two additional dates/times. Bulk Trash Appointments are available on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday from 9am to 5pm.
